The U.S. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center has issued a request for proposal for AF Tactical Exploitation of National Capabilities, or TENCAP, IT support services.
Required TENCAP IT Support Services
According to the solicitation posted on SAM.gov Monday, the required services will support the operations of various systems, networks, exercises and developmental missions across the TENCAP work center. These services include systems engineering; computer systems support; IT engineering; hardware, operating systems, peripheral, or HOSP; maintenance; video teleconferencing support; communications security; and audio-visual services.
The requirement is a complete Small Business Administration 8(a) Business Development Program set-aside. Interested vendors may submit their proposals by May 23. The contract is expected to be awarded by Aug. 1.
What Is the TENCAP Program?
The AF TENCAP program is designed to develop and deliver advanced warfighting capabilities by using emerging technologies and capitalizing on strategic partnerships. The program brings together technology experts from various domains, including the Department of Defense, the Intelligence Community, industry, academia, national laboratories and partner nations.
In March, the Air Force Materiel Command issued an RFP for a consortium manager to provide support to the AF TENCAP. The selected contractor will be tasked with developing technologies for enhancing the warfighter’s lethality, combat effectiveness and survivability. The potential $99.9 million contract will have a base period of three years and two 12-month option periods.
