Appian has unveiled the integration of ProcureSight with its Requirements Management software, designed to build requirements packages in the Appian Government Acquisition suite.
The McLean, Virginia-based software company said on Oct. 30 the Appian Requirements Management-ProcureSight integration boosts government procurement by leveraging semantic search and generative artificial intelligence to enable faster and more accurate requirements building.
Appian Requirements Management, ProcureSight Integration
By combining the features of its Requirements Management program with the ProcureSight software, Appian is making it easier for procurement professionals to seamlessly create the necessary requirements.
The Requirements Management-ProcureSight integration utilizes generative AI and semantic search to identify past procurements, including solicitation, award, vendor and protest data, lessening the need for further time-consuming research. It also features an AI chatbot that provides insights from previous documents and allows users to find information faster.
In addition, the integration uses generative AI to build and customize requirements packages faster while best-in-class contract vehicles based on PSC or NAICS codes are automatically displayed.
Ben Allen, vice president of public sector solutions at Appian, noted that requirements building is a necessary but time-consuming process and the integration enables procurement professionals to seamlessly create, track, build and manage requirements packages all in one place.
“By layering in AI and semantic search, we’re drastically reducing procurement action lead time without compromising accuracy, enabling more competition and the potential of significant cost savings for our government customers,” said Allen.
