Cubic Defense announced that its DTECH Fusion Edge High-Performance Compute has been certified for use with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.4 and Red Hat OpenShift. The California-based defense and transportation technology provider said on Thursday that the milestone enables customers to run artificial intelligence-powered applications at the tactical edge.
According to Anthony Verna, senior vice president and general manager of DTECH Mission Solutions at Cubic Defense, the certifications are proof that the Fusion eHPC can deliver “supercharged hybrid cloud technologies” to austere environments.
“Fusion eHPC supported on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.4 and Red Hat OpenShift streamlines how we provide complex data, artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities at the speed of conflict,” Verna commented.
Fusion eHPC is equipped with a 64-core CPU, an NVIDIA GPU, high-speed networking and user-accessible storage.
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.4 is the leading enterprise Linux platform in the world. Meanwhile, Red Hat OpenShift is a containerization software powered by Kubernetes.
