Justin Letwinsky, a technical leader with more than 20 years of experience, has been appointed director of artificial intelligence at Booz Allen Hamilton.
In a LinkedIn post shared Monday, the executive highlighted the McLean, Virginia-based information technology and services provider’s commitment to utilizing AI in enhancing national security, boosting health care and strengthening global defense.
Before joining Booz Allen, Letwinsky served for over 13 years with the Naval Air Systems Command. As the chief military adviser for all AI/machine learning programs across the Naval Aviation Enterprise, he spearheaded the establishment of an AI/ML training program that has been vital in the NAE’s ability to make data-driven decisions and resolve issues.
The former Sikorsky H-60 helicopter pilot was also the technical director of electronic warfare and cognitive electronic attack systems under NAVAIR’s Engineering and Cyber Warfare Headquarters Group.
Letwinsky also served as deputy program manager for rotary-wing flight training systems at NAVAIR.
