Leidos and its partners achieved full deployment of the Federal Electronic Health Record system to all Department of Defense garrison facilities worldwide following the most recent one at the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center.
The company said Thursday the Leidos Partnership for Defense Health implemented the MHS GENESIS as part of a joint effort between DOD and the Department of Veterans Affairs at Lovell FHCC, which caters to both of their patient populations.
The modernized EHR system now supports Lovell FHCC’s approximately 1,200 DOD and 2,000 VA clinicians, providers and other end-users, helping them with their task of caring for 75,000 patients annually.
“The Federal EHR is now 100% deployed to all DOD military treatment facilities globally, making it the world’s largest EHR system implementation,” said Liz Porter, president of health and civil sector at Leidos. We look forward to benefits the Federal EHR can bring to both providers and patients at Lovell FHCC and other joint sites moving forward.”
To date, MHS GENESIS has been deployed at 3,890 locations across the globe, supporting more than 197,200 end-users and serving over 9.5 million beneficiaries.
