Lockheed Martin will deliver Sniper advanced targeting pods to the government of Poland under a potential $124.7 million foreign military sales deal recently approved by the State Department.
Poland asked to buy 34 AN/AAQ-33 targeting pods with shipping containers, spares and related equipment to equip its upcoming FA-50 fighter aircraft fleet with enhanced target tracking and engagement capabilities, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency said Tuesday.
The proposed FMS deal also includes technical documentation, personnel training and training equipment, engineering, technical, logistics and program support services.
Lockheed will serve as the principal contractor on the transaction, which does not require deploying contractor and government representatives to Poland.
Sniper ATP is a precision targeting and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance system that can be integrated with multiple military platforms, including F-15, F-16 and F-18 fighter aircraft.
