Applied Intuition, a Mountain View, California-based software developer, has received a two-year contract with a maximum value of $49 million to deliver a modeling and simulation platform to the U.S. Army for the service branch’s Robotic Combat Vehicle Program.
The end-to-end autonomy software development and test technology is envisioned to assist the RCV team within the Program Executive Office Ground Combat Systems, Applied said Tuesday.
The company will use its enterprise autonomy development toolchain to build the foundational modeling and simulation platform, where RCV variants could be tested for mission and mobility capabilities.
The contract for the competitive prototyping phase was procured via the Defense Innovation Unit’s Commercial Solutions Opening program.
