NASA has selected REI Systems to develop a cloud-based platform to facilitate innovation across the small business sector under the space agency’s Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer initiative.
The company said Tuesday the $8 million Platform Engineering and Technology Services contract will enable the SBIR/STTR team to identify small business capabilities that meet NASA’s technology requirements.
REI Systems will utilize its expertise in data analytics, DevSecOps and agile delivery framework development to help small businesses develop and commercialize new technologies.
The SBIR/STTR Program provides early-stage research and development funding for underrepresented groups such as women and minority-owned businesses to enable them to pursue potential work with NASA and other government agencies.
“We are proud to support small businesses from the start of their growth journey, from proposal through successfully transitioning their technology to meet NASA’s needs,” said Samidha Manu, vice president at REI Systems.
