Matt Mandrgoc, head of U.S. public sector at Zoom Video Communications, said agencies should secure government communications by implementing platforms that could help safeguard the exchange of sensitive data during meetings and one of those tools is the Zoom for Government platform.
Mandrgoc wrote in a blog post published Friday that Zoom for Government comes with several certifications, including a Defense Information Systems Agency provisional authorization at Impact Level 4 and a Moderate level certification under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program.
He noted that the platform uses the AWS GovCloud infrastructure and co-located data centers in the U.S. and comes with image and audio watermarks to avoid leaks and protect the privacy of confidential data shared during meetings.
Other security features of Zoom for Government that Mandrgoc discussed are the single sign-on function to authenticate users, Nomadic E911 feature during emergencies and end-to-end encryption.
