A joint venture between Axient, which rebranded from QuantiTech earlier this year, and Radial Solutions Inc. has booked a potential five-year, $196.8 million Marshall Engineering Technicians and Trades Support contract to support NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center.
Under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, RSi-QuantiTech JV will provide engineering technicians, as well as trade services and management oversight to support technical staff at MSFC in Huntsville, Alabama, NASA’s Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans, Louisiana and other NASA programs, Axient said Monday.
Patrick Murphy, CEO and president of Axient, said, “We look forward to executing this contract with RSi and continuing to deliver high-end technical expertise and unwavering commitment to our Marshall customer.”
In a recent Executive Spotlight interview, Murphy detailed how Axient is aligning its business, driving contract proposals and establishing its brand in the federal sector, following its rebrand from QuantiTech.
“We are integrating our numerous digital and model-based engineering efforts into a single, tailorable, and adaptable process with discriminating tools that can help our customers accelerate their developments, bring knowledge and design insight earlier in the development cycle, and enhance interoperability,” said Murphy, discussing Axient’s engineering market strategy.
Axient and RSi lead a team of companies that will provide testing, evaluation and engineering services to advance a range of MSFC’s capabilities including metrology services, propulsion testing, structural strength testing and others required under the METTS III program.
The METTS III contract continues Axient’s long-standing partnership with NASA and the MSFC.
