The U.S. business arms of Hensoldt and QinetiQ are looking to work on collaborative engagements in the country’s defense and national security markets and, in connection, have entered into an agreement to create a strategic partnership framework.
The companies will strategically cooperate to develop, integrate, test and field Hensoldt’s sensing technologies for national security projects, Hensoldt and QinetiQ said Friday.
The partnership will initially integrate and demonstrate situational awareness, night vision, 3D radar and distributed vehicle and soldier-borne sensing systems with a new U.S. Army ground combat vehicle.
Hensoldt’s products include radars, laser range finders, optics, electro-optical/infrared and active protection systems.
Ken Loy, president and CEO of Hensoldt, said the companies will jointly adapt, integrate and deliver their technologies to warfighters.
