Sehlke Consulting will provide financial management support to Naval Medical Forces Atlantic as part of the company’s prime contract award on the Financial and Business Operations Management Support services acquisition vehicle of the U.S. Navy’s Bureau of Medicine and Surgery.
The award covers budget development and execution, accounting analysis, audit and civilian personnel budget support as well as oversight of other NMFL financial management activities, Sehlke said May 26.
The company will help NMFL’s budget department monitor budget execution data, prepare Funding Authorization Document packages, management reports and budget exhibits, and inform budget decision-making efforts of NMFL leadership through analytics.
Sehlke will also be responsible for creating trend analysis for CIVPERS labor costs data and supporting implementation of CIVPERS annual budget controls through development of potential alternatives.
Within NFML’s accounting department, Sehlke’s on-site support will include analysis of civilian payroll data in the Defense Civilian Payroll system and research on invalid transactions. The company will also conduct table maintenance, analyze pay codes and recommend potential corrective actions.
Sehlke, in addition, will support Treasury G-Invoicing efforts such as analysis of G-Invoicing populations and transfer of support agreements to the G-Invoicing platform.
NMFL, a Navy Medicine Region located in Portsmouth, Virginia, oversees the financial management operations for the eastern U.S. and European medical commands.
