Amazon Web Services has joined the U.S. Geospatial Intelligence Foundation as a strategic-level member and will bring insight to the nonprofit as it works to promote the GEOINT tradecraft through collaboration with academia, government, individuals, industry and professional organizations.
USGIF said Monday AWS' cloud services and offerings help clients, including geospatial customers, lessen computing costs and perform in a more agile manner.
AWS is the foundation's 27th strategic-level member. It will be provided access to events and forums focused on advancing the GEOINT community.
USGIF aims to bring together GEOINT sector players to share ideas and best practices while highlighting the importance of a national geospatial intelligence agenda.
