Telos has received a contract option to provide the Social Security Administration a product suite for managing information technology security risks and compliance operations.
This is the first of four options under a potential five-year contract SSA awarded in September 2019 to procure company-made software for the modernization of the agency's IT assessment, authorization and monitoring processes, Telos said Tuesday.
SSA intends to deploy the Xacta platform to monitor systems hosted in Amazon Web Services' cloud environment.
The company intends for its enterprise technology to help agency users gather and analyze data on cyber vulnerabilities, audit trail, configuration standards and technology inventories.
Xacta offers a workflow management template and supports reporting of compliance with the Federal Information Security Management Act.
