McKean Defense Group has received a five-year, $19.7 million contract to help a Naval Surface Warfare Center manage critical steam systems for the U.S. Navy fleet.
The company said Tuesday it will support hull, mechanical and electrical equipment for Code 41 steam programs and provide safety and life cycle engineering, quality assurance and system reliability analysis services to the NSWC Philadelphia division.
Other services include producing a configuration management document, technical reports, logistics data and design models.
Contract work will also take place at other NSWCPD locations in Virginia, Florida, California and Washington state.
McKean completed in early February its $4.6 million cash acquisition of Mikros Defense Systems to expand systems monitoring and diagnostic analytics offerings for the military sector.
