Technica to Support Air Force Sensor Integration Efforts via $950M IDIQ Vehicle

Technica has been chosen to integrate sensor technology as a participant in the U.S. Air Force's $950 million contract vehicle for system development and operation services to support the Joint All Domain Command and Control concept.

The company said it proposed the SmartFog computing platform with a sensor integration architecture and the cleArInsights natural language processing-based software to the multiple-award acquisition program.

SmartFog is based on a fog computing model introduced by the National Institute of Standards and Technology, while cleArInsights is designed to process unstructured data blocks and identify usable information.

Dulles, Virginia-based Technica is among the 36 additional companies unveiled by the service branch Jan. 12 to develop technologies for enabling the JADC2 under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.

Aside from data integration, the AF Life Cycle Management Center's Chief Architect Integration Office selected the company to also perform work in the data, connectivity and application areas.
