Fortinet will continue to offer its catalogue of self-paced Network Security Expert Training Institute courses for free in a bid to meet the demand for cybersecurity professionals and bridge skills gap.
Users may access prerecorded laboratory demonstrations and more than 30 free security courses on various topics, such as cloud security and operational technology, beyond 2021, the company said Tuesday.
Fortinet noted most courses under the catalogue are designed to prepare users for the company's eight-level NSE certification program.
"Together with our ecosystem of academic and commercial training providers as well as government and NGO partnerships, we will continue to provide the industry with a diverse, equitable and inclusive pipeline of security professionals," said Rob Rashotte, vice president of global training and technical field enablement at Fortinet.
The company initially offered its NSE training catalogue for free in April 2020 to help information technology and security personnel refresh or enhance their cybersecurity knowledge.
NSE Training Institute seeks to provide cyber training to students, women, veterans and minorities through its partnerships with academic institutions, nonprofit organizations and the World Economic Forum.
