TYSONS CORNER, VA, January 19, 2021 — Sean Berg, most recently a senior vice president at Forcepoint, was promoted as president of global governments and critical infrastructure when investment firm Francisco Partners completed its acquisition of the cybersecurity venture from Raytheon Technologies (NYSE: RTX) last week, GovCon Wire reported Jan. 12.
Forecepoint said Jan. 11 it will operate as an independent entity and Berg will continue to support the company's business segments focused on cross-domain and insider-threat security offerings.
Berg came to Forcepoint in May 2017 from Polycom, where he led a unit that offered collaboration and communication tools to the public sector. He previously held sales leadership positions at Dell and spent six years as a U.S. Marine Corps infantry officer.
