Robert Huber, chief security officer at Tenable, has said the Department of Defense needs to do more to protect modern weapons from cybersecurity risks as the number of connected systems increases.
“Technological advances that make these systems more efficient are not enough,†Huber wrote in a guest piece published Wednesday on Nextgov.
He noted that DoD should align its cybersecurity strategy with technological advancements and prepare for battle missions in the digital age.
A Tenable-commissioned survey found that senior cyber professionals at the department prioritize the security of systems and networks that could be targets of interest.
According to Huber, the Defense Information Systems Agency works to help agencies monitor and address network vulnerabilities through the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution.
