Real-Time Innovations has received additional funds worth $500K to help the Department of Defense bolster cybersecurity and address standardization gaps.
The company said Tuesday it will further develop its Connext DDS software under an existing contract with the Small Business Innovation Research program.
Connext DDS is a connectivity framework that facilitates real-time data exchanges between applications.
The new funds continue RTI’s work to develop data models applicable to a range of cyber tools. These models and control interfaces allow for open interoperability across security information and antivirus applications.
“With the increasing prominence of cyberattacks, the DoD needs to get away from vendor-locked cyber solutions, which create cross-system interoperability challenges and raise costs,†said Paul Pazandak, director of advanced research at RTI.
