The U.S. Navy has scheduled a two-day virtual event for next month to discuss the objectives, requirements and schedule of the service branch’s Large Displacement Unmanned Undersea Vehicle program.
The industry day will take place from June 16 to 17 and seeks to promote dialogue between Navy and industry representatives on the LDUUV program as well as related UUV acquisition initiatives, according to a presolicitation notice posted Thursday.
Service officials plan to hold one-on-one sessions and a teleconference during the event to collect feedback from potential offerors.
Other topics to be covered include the branch's acquisition, engineering and development plans for autonomous maritime architectures, payload handling systems and common control platforms.
