
Marcus Chevitarese, former deputy engineering director of Raytheon“™s vision systems business, has joined satellite technology maker Umbra Lab as engineering vice president, SpaceNews reported Thursday.
He will work with David Langan, co-founder and CEO of Umbra, in efforts to develop the startup“™s technical strategy and roadmap.
Chevitarese previously held engineering-related roles at telecommunications firm Ericsson, Autoliv's electronics business and Takata's Automotive Systems Laboratory.
Umbra is headquartered in Santa Barbara, Calif., and offers a range of synthetic aperture radar microsatellite products designed to capture imagery during the day or night and in all weather conditions.
