The National Institute for Standards and Technology is seeking bids for a potential five-year, $6M contract vehicle that will cover technical support to the agency's research on cyber-physical systems, Nextgov reported Friday.
NIST wants to work with multiple vendors to manage the public comment process for its CPS and smart grid programs, facilitate workshops and technical meetings, develop standards and prepare for testing activities.
The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract will also cover subject matter expertise for technical panels and working groups in "smart" technology areas such as buildings, infrastructure, transportation, mobility, health care, grid and manufacturing.
This contract is intended to support NIST’s CPS Public Working Group, which aims to create reference architectures for internet-of-things and smart city projects.
