The Federal Aviation Administration has awarded Power Analytics a five-year software license agreement that includes training of agency personnel to analyze arc flash hazards.
Power Analytics said Monday it secured the contract with an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity structure from FAA's power services group and engineering services division.
Kevin Meagher, president of Power Analytics, said the award extends a company-agency partnership that began in 2008 with the deployment of DesignBase software and power technology platforms at air route traffic control centers.
The Raleigh, N.C.-based company trains clients on research and development of power models as well as offers courses on microgrid and distributed generation systems.
