Dana Mehnert, president at L3Harris’ communications systems business, said the L3-Harris merger produced new developments in ground and air communications markets, Shephard Media reported Friday. The merger has resulted in the establishment of four new business segments with offerings in tactical communications, video datalinks, night vision and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance.
L3Harris is planning to integrate product portfolios for the two merged companies. The company will work to have Harris radios able to control the L3 satellite communications terminal, Mehnert told Shephard. Harris’ original $7B company value also increased to $17B after the merger.
