American Systems will compete for task orders to support the U.S. Air Force's Global Application Research, Development, Engineering and Maintenance initiative through a five-year, $427M contract.
The company said Monday it will lead an industry team in efforts to help the Air Force, the Department of Defense and other government customers address technical and functional requirements under the GARDEM program.
Chantilly, Va.-based American Systems partnered with Northrop Grumman, Perspecta, Peraton, Oneida Nation Enterprises and Vastec to pursue work spanning the full spectrum of research, development, operations, maintenance and procurement activities.
“We are proud to be able to deliver our technical expertise to the USAF—we know what’s at stake,†said Peter Smith, president and CEO at American Systems and a former Wash100 Award recipient.
