Maxar Technologies will continue to provide commercial satellite imagery products to Esri‘s global collection of data layers, maps and applications under a three-year contract extension signed between the two companies.
The partnership offers ArcGIS Living Atlas of the World customers access to the Metro product covering 1K urban imagery mosaics and an updated version of the Vivid mosaic offering, Maxar said Monday.
Tony Frazier, executive vice president of global field operations at Maxar, said the two companies have collaborated over the past decade in efforts to unify geospatial tools and satellite imagery.
“This latest contract demonstrates both companies’ enduring commitment to innovation for Esri end users and the global GIS community,” added Frazier, a 2019 Wash100 winner.
As part of the new agreement, Maxar will also provide ArcGIS users with access to version 2.0 of the NaturalVue image mosaic and the National Urban Change Indicator via the Living Atlas Catalog.
Esri designed its ArcGIS platform to help clients visualize and analyze location-based data.
