L3Harris Technologies will distribute Kleos Space’s geo-locating maritime radio communications suite through the General Services Administration’s IT Schedule 70 vehicle under a new partnership, Space Connect reported Tuesday.
Public sector customers may now avail the service via the Earth Observations Solutions special item number on the contract vehicle. L3Harris will also conduct mission scenario tests for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency as part of the agreement.
Additionally, Kleos will deploy four CubeSats in low-Earth orbit through the Rocket Lab-built Electron spacecraft as part of plans to build a satellite constellation that will help agencies detect maritime radio signals and distressed ships around the globe.
“The valuable data Kleos provides will allow mission critical geospatial solutions to be offered to the US defence community,†said Andy Bowyer, CEO at Kleos.
