Carahsoft Technology has partnered with Google to offer the latter’s customizable cloud platform to government clients through the General Services Administration’s IT Schedule 70 contract vehicle.
GCP deploys an open-source framework and is compliant with Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program and National Institute of Standards and Technology security requirements, Carahsoft said Tuesday.
The cloud platform’s addition builds on Carahsoft’s prior inclusion of other Google offerings such as Google Chrome and G Suite in the IT Schedule vehicle.
Terry Drinkwine, vice president of Carahsoft’s Google Cloud team, said GCP enables users to conduct operations and retain data control within on-premise, multi-cloud and hybrid environments.
“This flexibility is key as government IT teams seek to scale to larger volumes of data, and we are excited to offer GCP through our GSA schedule and reseller partners,†he added.
GCP is also available for purchase through Carahsoft’s other contract vehicles, including the NASA Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement V and National Association of State Procurement Officials ValuePoint.
