A new Deloitte survey found that 80 percent of public sector respondents believe connecting employees back to making an impact in order to expand the concept of employee experience is important to their agencies.
“Government organizations have a clear advantage over the private sector because of impact that they make on a daily basis; therefore, government can use new tools to free employees from the mundane to focus on their passion of making an impact,â€Â said John Forsythe, managing director and government and public services human capital leader at Deloitte Consulting, said in a statement published Monday.
Deloitte polled over 600 public sector professionals across 63 countries for the 2019 Government Human Capital Trends report and found that only 14 percent of the respondents said they are ready for increased automation, which is considered to be the most expected change by the majority in the next three years.
The report showed that 75 percent of government respondents believed the move to a team-based organization has enhanced performance and 93 percent said they consider their talent acquisition capabilities as standard.
Nearly 80 percent of respondents said future recruiters should be at ease with data science and 84 percent said they believe a continuous learning culture, the use of incentives to motivate individuals to learn and a focus on helping people advance skills development is a top priority.
