Octo Consulting has secured a five-year, $11M contract for the operation and maintenance of an enterprise software program used by the U.S. Army to organize equipment records and keep track of military assets.
The Property Book Unit Supply Enhanced system is a legacy platform utilized by the U.S. Army and the Joint Special Operations Command that provides real-time locations of assets and coordinates unit-level logistics using commercial hardware and software, the company said Wednesday.
The platform’s other features include administrative adjustment reports, component management and military standard requisitioning.
“We are ecstatic to be working with the Army on this project,†said Jim Vant, Octo’s Executive Vice President for Defense and Intelligence. “We believe our modernization focus will greatly enhance the PBUSE system, which is a core mission system within the Army.â€
