United Technologies Corp.'s Noresco subsidiary has received a $32.7M energy savings performance contract to help the U.S. Air Force update facility infrastructure at Keesler AF Base in Mississippi.
Noresco said Monday it will install a solar photovoltaic carport array at the military installation, implement chiller plant optimization systems and update light fixtures to an LED version in an effort to address the base's energy efficiency, security and resiliency goals.
The ESPC also includes integration of cybersecurity features into building controls as well as operations and maintenance services for the solar PV system.
Natasha Shah, vice president of federal business development at Noresco, said the business has supported the Air Force on 22 ESPC projects since 1998.
Noresco secured the latest contract through the Defense Logistics Agency's energy organization.
