Leidos will continue to provide scientific and technical support services to biothreat reduction projects of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency under a $34M contract modification.
The modification represents option period two under a time-and-materials contract covering support for the Cooperative Biological Engagement Program, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.
Work under the exercised option is expected to be complete by May 13, 2020. The original contract was awarded in January 2017 and includes an additional two 12-month options.
CBEP aims to disrupt the proliferation of technologies, equipment and materials used to develop biological weapons.
