ManTech International has established a research-and-development laboratory at the Naval Surface Warfare Center's Crane Division in Indiana as part of efforts to help the U.S. Navy shore command build weapons systems and cyber warfare platforms.
The 20K-square-foot facility will house ManTech employees from the Daviess, Greene and Martin counties, the company said Wednesday.
Staff will support electrical optical and infrared R&D, operational test planning, GPS development and encryption activities at the new lab.
“Our work will span disciplines essential to defense, including the new ‘Defend Forward’ doctrine to defeat cyberattacks at their source," said Andrew Twomey, senior vice president and general manager of defense at ManTech’s mission solutions and services group.
The company assists NSWC-Crane in computing, communications, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance activities.
