Cubic’s mission solutions segment has introduced an expansion module for its Vocality Radio over Internet Protocol communications gateway designed for push to talk handsets.
The RoIP Connect module adds a general-purpose input/output, four audio ports and four serial ports to the Vocality RoIP gateway and can be connected via USB, Cubic said Tuesday.

Users can deploy two RoIP Connect units with the Vocality RoIP without using additional power sources or cables. The module is also compatible with Cubic’s Vocality Rack Kit, which can accommodate a maximum of three RoIP devices or up to 12 ports.

Vocality RoIP is a small form factor connectivity device intended for a variety of operations such as military missions, emergency response and energy production.
