The U.S. Air Force Space and Missiles Command has announced a potential five-year, $80M funding opportunity for the procurement, development and integration of cyber and space technology platforms for the military service, Department of Defense and national agencies.
SMC said in a FedBizOpps notice posted Monday the government will initially collect concept white papers as part of an open, two-phase broad agency announcement and may invite select offerors to submit formal proposals.
Areas of research interest outlined in the draft BAA include resiliency technologies and methods for space systems, improvements to space domain awareness, space exploitation, battle management command and control and approaches to advance exercises, tests and training environment.
The government will determine the number of contract awardees based on the quality and coverage of submitted offers, according to the notice.
Interested parties can submit feedback on the BAAÂ through Feb. 25.
