The General Services Administration plans to issue by the end of January a draft request for quotes on a blanket purchase agreement to create a cloud computing service intended to update the Department of Defense’s legacy information technology applications.
GSA said in FedBizOpps notice posted Tuesday it plans to establish the Defense Enterprise Office Solution BPA under the agency’s IT Schedule 70 to help the department replace email, productivity and chat platforms with cloud-based system.
Interested vendors can review and provide comments on the draft RFQ once the agency releases the document on Jan. 31.
The agency aims to release the final solicitation notice in late February or March.
