Dave Reichert, a former congressman who represented Washington’s eighth district and a 33-year law enforcement veteran, has been appointed a vice president at Gordon Thomas Honeywell Governmental Affairs.
He will advise government clients and support projects across the company’s dometic and international business groups in his new position, GTH-GA said Monday.
Reichert will also collaborate with foreign government leaders through a State Department-sponsored project that aims to stop human trafficking in Central America and lead a process to facilitate international agreements on sharing of DNA database information about missing persons.
He previously served as a House Ways and Means Committee member and chaired the panel’s trade subcommittee. Earlier in his congressional career, he chaired the House Homeland Security Committee’s emergency preparenedness subcommitte.
Reichert worked as a sheriff of King County, Wash., for eight years.
