Symantec has unveiled an artificial intelligence-based platform built to protect industrial control systems and other critical infrastructure from cyber attacks.
The company said Wednesday its Industrial Control System Protection Neural is designed to screen USB devices to safeguard operational technology environments and internet of things-based devices from malware, zero-day attacks and other cyber threats.
“Behind the scenes, ICSP Neural will retrofit existing infrastructure with a central nervous system to provide protection for critical infrastructure,” said Patrick Gardner, senior vice president of advanced threat protection and email security at Symantec.
The ICSP Neural platform can be fielded on Windows 10 and Windows XP operating systems and leverages the company’s threat intelligence network to detect vulnerabilities.
