David Kerko and Katrina McFarland will join Science Applications International Corp.‘s board of directors once SAIC completes its $2.5B all-stock acquisition of Engility, where they currently serve as board members.
Their appointments will bring SAIC’s board membership count to 11, the company said Tuesday.
McFarland previously held the roles of assistant secretary for acquisition at the Defense Department and acting assistant secretary of the U.S. Army for acquisitions, logistics and technology. Prior to her government career, she was president of the Defense Acquisition University.
Kerko has worked at investment firm KKR & Co. as a consultant since February 2015 and served as director at TASC for six years.
SAIC and Engility are scheduled Jan. 11 to hold separate shareholder meetings and both companies expect to close the transaction by February.
