George Mason University’s School of Business has opened an academic facility dedicated to government contracting research, training and collaborative efforts.
The Center for Government Contracting will host courses, activities and programs meant to help students, companies and agencies build GovCon competencies, the university said.
The center will conduct its inaugural public event on Dec. 11 at Fairview Park Marriott in Falls Church, Va. It will feature analysts and practitioners to discuss various industry trends.
“We are also developing exciting sets of partnerships with government and industry,†said Jerry McGinn, executive director of the Center for Government Contracting.
“And we have launched research efforts to help explore important business issues facing the government contracting community,” McGinn added.
