General Dynamics‘ information technology business will help the U.S. Navy implement a cloud technology platform under a potential five-year, $96M blanket purchase agreement.
The company said Monday it will provide commercial cloud offerings including Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure via the General Services Administration’s Schedule 70 multiple-award contract.
The BPA, which was awarded by the service branch’s Program Executive Office for Enterprise Information Systems to GDIT affiliate CSRA, holds a $22.4M base value covering a one-year initial performance period, and four option years that would access the award’s maximum value if completely exercised.
“Through this award, the Navy will gain access to premium commercial cloud services through GDIT’s strategic relationships with Microsoft and Amazon,” said Leigh Palmer, who leads General Dynamics Information Technology‘s defense segment.
