Azure Summit Technology has showcased a software-based and multichannel radio frequency receiver technology to the U.S. Navy.
The 3U Switchblade is designed to integrate with small manned and unmanned surface, subsurface and airborne platforms, Azure said Friday.
The RF receiver works with software and firmware applications as well as tuner modules deployed in the Switchblade 6U transceiver for larger platforms.
The company is finalizing the 3U technology’s design and manufacturing plans and the company expects to begin full rate production in the second quarter of fiscal year 2019.
Fairfax, Va.-based Azure produces RF hardware, firmware and software platforms for customers across the Defense Department.
