Rockwell Collins has landed a potential five-year contract to update and repair components of the common avionics architecture systems equipped on the U.S. Army‘s CH-47F Chinook helicopters.
The aircraft’s CAAS uses the Flight2 open systems architecture to combine communications, navigation and mission subsystems for integrated performance and situational awareness, the company said Thursday.
The Army Aviation and Missile Command’s logistics center awarded the contract.
Over 500 aircraft from around the world employ Rockwell Collins’ CAAS.
