Science Applications International Corp. has received three contracts to provide information technology modernization services to the Agriculture Department through centers of excellence led by the General Services Administration.
SAIC said Thursday it will help USDA build a data analytics system, manage organizational change and train more than 100K employees under a single-award task order.
GSA awarded the company a single-award blanket purchase agreement to deploy analytics and visualization tools across the department’s mission areas, as well as evaluate blockchain and other alternative technologies.
Bob Genter, senior vice president and general manager of SAIC’s federal civilian customer group, said the awards would expand current support the company provides to USDA.
“To us, modernization is not about selling the next new technology; it’s putting our customers’ needs first and using our experience in mission understanding to bring the right technologies to bear,” Genter added.
GSA established the CoEs as part of efforts to help federal agencies transform customer service and interaction through consulting, IT engineering and procurement services from industry partners.
