Roger Krone, Leidos chairman and CEO, joined congressional members and other industry executives on Wednesday at the White House to witness the signing of a bill that aims to counter opioid abuse.
John Hindman, senior international and public affairs adviser at Leidos, accompanied Krone during the signing of the Substance Use-Disorder Prevention that Promotes Opioid Recovery and Treatment for Patients and Communities Act, the company said Wednesday.
“I’m especially grateful to attend this event with John who challenged our company to increase community awareness about the dangers of substance abuse – we’re committed to continuing efforts that answer that call,†sad Krone, a five-time Wash100 awardee.
Leidos has initiated corporate responsibility programs to address the opioid epidemic through its CEO pledge effort and partnerships with organizations such as the Chris Atwood Foundation, Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America, Truth Initiative and the Mark Wahlberg Youth Foundation.
