Kevin Neifert, chief information officer at Raytheon, has said information technology organizations should find opportunities for technology to supplement the business strategy, CIODIVE reported Friday.
“We need to be delivering and following through all the way to the bottom line,†he said Thursday at the Gartner Symposium in Orlando, Fla.
He noted that the company has started to explore and prioritize “disruptive†technologies such as artificial intelligence, virtual and augmented reality, internet of things, big data and analytics and cloud.
Neifert said his team has established innovation advocates across the company to encourage employees to share their ideas, address barriers and advance collaboration.
