A Maxar Technologies subsidiary has received a $44M renewal to continue work under a National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency-awarded contract for satellite imagery services.
The company said Wednesday its DigitalGlobe subsidiary will continue to provide access to high-resolution satellite imagery within two to four hours of data gathering under the Global Enhanced GEOINT Delivery contract for the seventh year.
Services under the contract are intended to help first responders, the military and other government users provide mission planning, disaster response and situational awareness information augmented with geospatial intelligence.
The renewal allows the use of DigitalGlobe’s Vivid mosaic that works to provide country-wide imagery for generating local, regional and global maps.
End users can also utilize the firm’s Geospatial Big Data platform designed to prioritize focus areas via machine learning with available imagery and supplementary data.
