Iron Mountain has included data center colocation and network services on the company’s Schedule 36 contract with the General Services Administration.
The additional services are listed under the 51-600 special item number for electronic records management offerings and meant to support government digital transformation efforts, Iron Mountain said Thursday.
Michael Lewis, vice president and general manager of Iron Mountain’s federal government business, said the company seeks to help federal customers modernize and secure information technology and comply with the Data Center Optimization Initiative.
GSA Schedule 36 also includes the firm’s Northern Virginia; Kansas City, Mo.; Western Pennsylvania and Boston data centers.
The data center services provider will also offer cross connect and dark fiber assistance and managed internet service with a speed of up to 10 gigabits per second through the contract.
