ECS Federal has received a potential $37.7M contract to help the FBI form and manage two cybersecurity programs.
A FedBizOpps notice posted Friday says the contractor will deliver a range of services to help the bureau set up the Cybersecurity Red and Blue Team program and the Enterprise Compliance and Continuous Monitoring Support Program under the single-award, cost-plus-award-fee contract.
The initial phase calls for the contractor to move the REBL program to initial operating capability and operate and build up the initiative once full operating capability is achieved, according to the statement of objectives.
The REBL program aims to deploy cybersecurity services meant to improve the bureau’s security posture, detect threats and vulnerabilities on the agency’s networks and systems and respond to security incidents.
The program consists of the red team that uses offensive techniques and tools to mimic cyber threats and the blue team that offers threat hunting and incident response services and assesses operational vulnerabilities.
The Enterprise Compliance and Continuous Monitoring Support Program has a team that oversees the FBI’s enterprise vulnerability assessment platform and leverages subject matter experts who help assess security controls in support of the bureau’s information assurance programs.
